Craft shows, snowshoe hikes, speed rope jump contests, 1800s historical reenactments, art fairs, rodeos, fireworks, local festivals,on the water and musical events, plus more, are scheduled each year around Chippewa County.

    Spring into All Star Cheer

    Ultimate Performance Gymnastics and Cheer, 4289 124th Street, Chippewa Falls. This event is FREE and open to anyone who is interested in cheerleading ages 5-18. Athletes ages 5-10 will attend 12:00-1:15 and ages 11-18 will attend 1:45-3:00. Students will tumble, stunt, jump and dance.     Chippewa Falls Area School District Student Art Exhibit

    M-Thurs 10-5, Fri 10-4.at the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association, Inc. / Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls. Artist Reception: Tuesday, April 4 from 4:00   6:00 p.m.  Artwork from the Chippewa Falls School district   elementary schools, middle school and high school   will abound at the Heyde Center for the Arts. The Heyde Center is committed to collaborating with area schools to promote arts education. An exciting exhibit that enables the children to receive recognition for their talents and allow the entire community to enjoy.  No cost for admission.

    Free Community Easter Egg Hunt

    12:00 PM at Marshall Park (Across from the enterance of Irvine Park). Chippewa Lice Center is hosting a free community-wide Easter Egg Hunt for children age 0-12. Local businesses in the community will also be donating prizes. Bring your baskets and join the hunt! Candy filled eggs will be hidden throughout the park with special prize eggs redeemable for Easter Baskets, Gift Certificates, and Bikes. Eggs will be color-coded by specific age groups; 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12.

    Smelt Feed

    At the Knights of Columbus, 236 Pumphouse Rd, Chippewa Falls. They will be serving a delicious meal of deep fried smelt, cole slaw, baked beans and Deacon Dan Rider's bread with refreshments for $10.00 at the door. All who attend will be eligible for Cash drawing prizes. 1st is 1-$300.00 cash prize, 2nd is 2-$100.00 cash prizes 3rd is 3-$50.00 cash prizes and 4th is 4-$25.00 cash prizes.     53rd Annual Spring Art Show

    at The Heyde Center for the Arts. The Exhibit runs April 23 through May 5. The Chippewa Herald along with the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association will again be hosting the Annual Spring Arts show. There is no charge to the public for this exhibit, but donations are appreciated to help keep this exceptional gallery space available to the community.

    One World Taiko

    7:30 p.m at The Heyde Center for the Arts. One World Taiko is a professional Japanese drum ensemble that incorporates dynamic movement, lyrical melodies, and rhythmic grooves with heart-pounding percussion. “Taiko” means "drum" in Japanese, and Taiko drummers perform on drums ranging from the large odaiko, 4 feet by 2.5 feet, to the shimedaiko, the size of a snare drum.

    SpringFest 5K for Kids & Fun Mile

    9:00 a.m at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds located at 225 Edward Street, Chippewa Falls.  A run/walk through beautiful Irvine Park. This is a family friendly 5K and 1 Mile that loops through beautiful Irvine Park. Pets are welcome too! Join us for this fun event and receive some great race goodies. Adult registration includes a t-shirt, admission to SpringFest, and refreshments. Children under 13 register for free! The first 150 children registered will receive a Micon movie pass and Culver's custard coupon, (shirt available for purchase). All race proceeds go to support youth in our community through quality mentoring and after-school programming.

    Stoughton Norwegian Dancers - Norwegian Dance and Dress

    2:00 pm at the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association, Inc. / Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls.  A 64 year tradition, the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers endeavor to entertain and share traditional Scandinavian folk dance and authentic Norwegian bunads (costumes) with audiences throughout the area. The group is made up of Stoughton High School School Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who tour the United States bringing their authentic Scandanavian dance, music, humor, energy, and fun. The traditional dress, bunads, are constructed in Stoughton; however, all the patterns, fabrics and threads are imported from Norway so that they are authentic. Even the shoes and jewelry are imported from Norway! The girls wear bunads representing different districts in Norway.  Admission: Adults $13, Seniors $12, Youth $6
