Several months ago Deb Johnson, Heyde Center director, and Allan Servoss, nationally-recognized local artist, met to discuss the possibility of putting together a new visual arts exhibit at the Heyde Center. A theme was agreed upon and sixteen artists agreed to be a part of “EBB AND FLOW-WATER.” The participating artists, a mix of some of the most recognized local artists and some new to the area, will produce new works in two and three dimensional media for the exhibit. Artists participating include: Hope Greene, Lori Chilefone, Steve Immerman, Joe Maurer, Kay Brathol-Hostvet, Bruce Warren, Tiit Raid, Maureen Skroski, Sue Phelps Pearson, Tim Brudnicki, David Caradori, Dan Ingersoll, Jenna Ruder, Ned Gannon, Jeanne Roberts, and Denise Presnell.

Chippewa Falls, The Dementia Coalition of Chippewa County, along with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Chippewa County, will hold their 3rd Annual Bridging Memories Event on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019, at Kamp Kenwood on Lake Wissota.
Bridging Memories is for people living with dementia and their family members. The event is from 10:00am until 2:30pm, and includes assorted activities for all ages including pontoon rides, nature walks, photo booth, free lunch and more.
The event’s focus is for people living with dementia and their family members to find joy and humor in their dementia journey by bridging memories together, and enjoy a fun and relaxing day. The day’s guest speaker is Jim Adams, author of Other Me’s.
