Craft shows, snowshoe hikes, speed rope jump contests, 1800s historical reenactments, art fairs, rodeos, fireworks, local festivals,on the water and musical events, plus more, are scheduled each year around Chippewa County.

    11th Annual Ridin For A Reason Motorcycle Ride

    Come out on June 2nd, from 10 am - 10 pm, for the 11th annual motorcycle ride for breast cancer! 

    The ride starts and ends at Loopys. Several stops on the ride! Music, great food, raffles, silent auction, etc. It's going to be fun!

    Chi Hi 8th Annual Car Show

    10am - 12pm: Registration begins at 9am. A dash plaque will be given to the first 25 entries. There will be a concession stand, raffle tickets, and more!

    Free Fishing Event

    Enjoy free fishing weekend with the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA from 12pm-4pm. Meet in Marshall Park for a day of fishing instruction and learn how to fish. Loaner poles will be provided to those who do not have their own. Free bait.

    Participants who do not have their own fishing pole will be given their own pole for free to take home. Ongoing casting, knot tying, and fish cleaning lessons throughout the day. All ages welcome.

    Sue Orfield Band at River Bend Vineyard & Winery

    1:30 PM - 4:00 PM

    The Sue Orfield Band will be returning to River Bend once again to perform!

    Come enjoy a Sunday afternoon with some tunes in the vineyard with the very popular Sue Orfield Band and your favorite River Bend wines! 

    The Sue Orfield Band will be playing from 1:30pm - 4:00pm. If the weather is not cooperating, please check the Facebook page for any cancellations.

    For music events, seating is very limited so it is highly recommended to bring your own seating such as lawn chairs, blankets, etc.

    Erin O'Brien of Erin Designs, LLC has been working with silk for a number of years. Silk is a natural, sustainable fiber and eco-friendly.  With features including ease of care, breathability, and comfort, this fiber creates a product of lasting quality and value. All materials are provided and includes a complimentary beverage and snack! Cost for the large silk scarf workshop is $40 per person.

    Introducing the 2017 Bourbon Barrel Shiraz! River Bend Reserve wines are carefully chosen from individual lots and barrels that exhibit distinctive character and premium quality. Aged in a bourbon barrel, their Reserve Shiraz is layered and complex, with notes of brown sugar, vanilla and mocha framed by soft tannins and a hint of oak on the finish.

    Introduction to Painting with Soft Pastel

    10am at the Heyde Center for the Arts- 3 S High St, Chippewa Falls

    Many students “fall in love” with pastels after taking this workshop! Soft pastels are fun to use, colorful, versatile, and expressive. You'll be introduced to this dry painting medium through two exercises on different papers. This workshop is also good as a refresher course for those with some experience.  All paper is provided; see supply list for other required materials. Please bring a bag lunch. Kay Brathol-Hostvet is an upbeat, enthusiastic instructor bringing a wealth of experiences to the classroom. She has over 30 years of experience as an exhibiting artist, and has been teaching workshops in drawing, design, pastel painting and acrylic painting for many years.     Chill on the Hill

    As part of its commitment to involve youth in arts and cultural activities, the CVCA/Heyde Center provides an early introduction of children to the arts and culture through the offering of forty-five minute presentations of various arts and cultural activities at the Heyde Center during the summer.

    The target age group is 4 - 10 years of age. There is no cost to participate. Reservations not required, but they appreciate notification if bringing a large group.

    FATFAR

    THE WORLD'S LARGEST FLOAT PARTY OF THE SUMMER!

    Loopy's is bringing you the world's largest float party on June 24th 2018 once again!

    This is a 21 and older event. NO COVER CHARGE.
    Float starts around noon below the Chippewa Falls dam. Right Way Shuttle will be running continuously from 10:00 on between Loopy's, the city boat landing and Lake Hallie Sportsman's Club in Hallie. Loopy's has Tubes, floating coolers, canoes, kayaks and river safe beverages for the river. Come party at Loopy's with AV Live and D.J. Duke playing all of your party favorites. Hang out at the tiki bar overlooking the beautiful Chippewa River. Loopy's will have food, drinks, volleyball, Giant Jenga, Hammerschlaggen, bean bag toss, a fire pit and a ton of fun. As always, It's your river, please help us keep it clean. Loopy's will be handing out mesh bags for your trash. Just make sure to get it to Loopy's or the Sportsman's Club and we will take it from there. Please don't drive drunk. We have FREE shuttles to get you home safely. We want you to be able to come back and see us again. P.S. This is not a family friendly event. You must be 21 to enter. And don't forget...Loopy's has tubing 7 days a week! Weather Permitting.
